CHOM CHAO

The CHOM CHAO Orphan Home is located in the Chom Chao District just West of Phnom Penh.
The home was built and dedicated in December 2002. Since the orphan home is located in Phnom Penh it has fast became a base/training center for the rest of the orphan homes in the country.
In the Training Center we divided two home Separate one is CHOM CHOA Orphan Home for the boys and one is POCHENTONG Orphan Home for the girls.
Phnom Penh is the only city in Cambodia with any industrial base. The clothing industry is by far the largest employer in the city with more than 100,000 people finding jobs in that sector. There are many small shops and cottage industries in the city in addition to the more than 15,000 prostitutes. AIDS is by far the largest contributor to the orphan population in the Phnom Penh area.
Pastor Som Art is the National Vice President of the Foursquare Church in Cambodia.
The children and staff of the home all help in raising pigs, poultry, fish, rice, and vegetable gardens. Every morning the children of the CHOM CHAO Home begin their day with a morning devotional. After Bible study, worship, and prayer, they eat breakfast. Some go to school in the morning, and others attend school after lunch. When the children are not in school, they might help with house chores, take a nap, or play games. The children enjoy playing Volleyball, Football, Cambodian games, and learning traditional dances. and Every Friday night at 7 p.m. they have special devotion and pray and has become known as the most powerful spiritual gathering in Cambodia, with prayer requests coming from around the world.
