Teams Come to the Rescue

FCOP has been at this since 1999 — 27 years now — and the heart hasn't changed: Cambodia for Christ. Today we're running 32 church homes caring for more than 850 orphans and children at risk. We don't just provide support; we walk closely with them, sharing life together every day. Each one of these kids is family.

Our friends from Living Water in the United States came to visit our church home in Pouk, Siem Reap, and they didn't just say nice things — they rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They filled in land to prevent flooding during rainy season (if you've never seen what a Cambodian monsoon does to an ungraded lot full of kids, count yourself blessed). They built a new bedroom, repaired the kitchen, made beds for the children, and installed a new water tank so everyone has access to clean water. These are the kinds of things that sound small in a newsletter but change daily life completely. A kid sleeping on a proper bed, drinking clean water — that's the difference your hands make. Our kids love you and miss everyone very much. We can't wait to welcome you back.

Life Community visited Pdau Penn Church Home in Kompong Speu and brought a similar wave of blessings. Their team helped pour cement flooring, painted the buildings, installed a new window and a new roof, and made much-needed kitchen repairs. On top of all that, they brought clothing, mattresses, blankets, and school supplies for the children. When a team shows up with a paintbrush in one hand and a stack of school notebooks in the other, our kids know they're loved. The children send their love and miss you all dearly. We hope to see you again soon.

To all our friends and partners — your actions remind us that God's love is made real through caring hands. From our hearts to yours, thank you, and may we meet again to continue sharing hope with those in need.
