A Season of Change, A Journey of Faith

As the year draws to a close, FCOP Cambodia has been traveling across the country, visiting and evaluating our church refuge centers to comply with new guidelines from the Ministry of Social Affairs. These guidelines require us to reduce the number of our church refuge centers from 72 to 33, but all of our church buildings are still operating church services.  We are still taking care of widows and orphans and we are doing it with a renewed focus.

This change has not been easy for us. Each home represents years of love, care, and ministry—families that were built through faith, not just walls and roofs. However, we understand the heart behind this requirement. Some of our church refugee centers currently care for fewer than eight children because some of them grow up and have jobs to do. The government now encourages homes to come together so that each one meets the national standards for childcare and community living.

In response, we are gathering smaller homes and uniting them into stronger, fuller families. This transition allows the children to grow up in more vibrant communities, surrounded by more brothers and sisters, while still being nurtured by loving church parents. Our heart remains the same: to ensure that every child receives not just food and shelter, but also spiritual care, belonging, and hope for the future.

We ask for your continued prayers and support during this season of adjustment. Change can be challenging, but we believe God is using it to strengthen our ministry and deepen our care. Thank you for standing with us through every season—your love and generosity continue to shape the lives of the children and families we serve throughout Cambodia
