Peace for Cambodia This Christmas
December is a sacred time when we remember the coming of Jesus Christ—our Savior—who brought hope, healing, and salvation to the world. Jesus is truly the reason we celebrate this season.
This Christmas has brought extraordinary challenges to Cambodia. Due to conflict along the Cambodia-Thailand border, approximately 650,000 people have been forced to flee their homes. Families have lost livelihoods, and children cannot attend school due to fear and displacement.
Impact on FCOP Homes
The border conflict has directly affected several of our FCOP homes: Malai, Chomka San, Chhuk, Trapang Prasat, Palalai, Toul Pongro, Kountrey, Snoul Strait, Anlong Veng, and Steung Thmey. These communities face urgent needs:
Food supply for displaced families and our children
Medicine supply for basic healthcare
Financial support as we extend care to affected local communities
Despite these hardships, Christmas calls us to unite as one family in Christ—to pray, to love, and to care for one another. FCOP stands together in prayer, trusting God to bring peace to our nation.
Celebrating Christmas Amid Crisis
This Christmas, we held powerful services across the country—uniting together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and share the Gospel with our communities. These gatherings became opportunities for evangelism and corporate prayer for peace between Cambodia and Thailand. Even in hardship, we proclaim that Jesus is our Prince of Peace.
Please join us in prayer for:
Protection over displaced families
Provision for those in need
Comfort for the fearful
Hope for children longing to return to school
Peace between Cambodia and Thailand
"For to us a Child is born… and He will be called the Prince of Peace." — Isaiah 9:6
