Prey Konlong
The Prey Kon Long Church is located in the Pursat Province.
The home is set in a remote village surrounded by wooden and grass dwellings, travel to the home becomes difficult during the rainy season, in dry the season it takes two and a half hours to get there from the provincial capital. One must travel by ox cart or motorbike to reach the home, as there are no roads large enough for a full-size vehicle.
In year 2007 the population of Prey Kon Long is approximately 2,300 people and the majority of workers in the area are rice farmers. They grow rice as well as fruits and vegetables. The villagers that are not rice farmers try their hand at running small shops at home.
Flooding in the wet season, and periods of draught during the dry season take their toll on the rice crops each year. Life throughout the countryside is often difficult, and the presence of AIDs, which is the leading cause for death in this area, brings even more challenge.
Meas Somoul is the Pastor of the Prey Konlong Church.
His family was converted to Christianity and he has "Anointed for Burial". Pastor Meas Somoul has a gift for identifying, training and serving the Lord.
