Anlong Veng Church
The Anlong Veng home is in the Anlong Veng District, Odor Meanchey Province, Cambodia. The area has many trees and wooden homes with thatched roofs. It is close to a small mountain range that divides Cambodia from Thailand to the northwest.
The area is beautiful. Unfortunately, much of the land that one would love to hike through or explore is plagued with land mines. Straying off the beaten path can be dangerous. In the recent past, many battles have taken place in Anlong Veng. The area was one of the last strongholds of Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge Regime. The Khmer Rouge held power there until 1998. Many of the residents were soldiers in the power struggle. A high number of Anlong Veng's people have lost limbs to landmines. The church was planted in Anlong Veng in the year 2000, when the Gospel message shared with and accepted by one family. that family spread the Good News to others in the community, and the Church began to grow in Anlong Veng in 2000. there are many orphans children in district and some parents have lost and are losing their lives in battle or from the landmines that still remain and some from divorced parent, malaria and AIDS and poor
health care have led to a large population of orphan children at the past. from 2000 to 2025, we have been raising many orphans and vulnerable children. At that time, they were very happy living in the Church/Home, and their Habits was a typical day begins as the children awake. Before eating breakfast, the orphans participate in devotions. the school age children either attend classes in the morning or in the late afternoon. after lunch, most of the orphans take naps, play, study, and take classes in the home. Later, they eat dinner, take care of the homes' garden and plants, and attend an English class in the home. The Anlong Veng family orphans finish each day gathering for church devotions, before setting up their mosquito nets and going to sleep. but now we don’t raise the Orphan any more because the government want us to do the church, youth and children ministry instead. The Anlong Veng church Sunday Service at 9 AM and Friday night at 7 p.m. they have special devotion and pray.
